About Markus

In the April of 2019, at the age of 16, Markus sat down with his older brother to watch the season finale of Game of Thrones. He’d read all five books in the Song of Ice and Fire series, and had been highly anticipating the final season. He’d been disappointed by most of the episodes, but he held out hope that the finale would stick the ending, redeeming the rest of the season. His hope was dashed into a million pieces, anger for wasting so much potential taking its place.

Two weeks later, Markus went to theaters to watch the long awaited conclusion of the Marvel Infinity Saga which was culminating in the movie, Avengers: Endgame. He left that theater frustrated, again, angry that a movie with so much potential was squandered.

How could two huge franchises not finish their stories correctly? Why would they treat their fans so poorly? Did they not care about them? To Markus, apparently not.

Furious, Markus sat down and thought, “if they won’t make a good story, then I will, and mine will have the greatest ending ever written.” A moment later, the Seven Systems was born.

For the next three years it was always on his mind. In class, he frequently would expand upon his world instead of taking notes, building the world until he could finally put pen to paper. In the summer of 2022 he began on his first title, Wings of an Aether. Three years later it was complete, countless lessons learned along the way.

The Seven Systems is just sprouting, a series of ten books planned titled as Legends of the Seven Systems, with many more offshoots along the way.
